My name is Kyle Kowalczyk. I am a Systems Administrator in the financial sector and I specialize in networking infrastructure. I have advanced experience with Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti, Vyatta, and Fortinet. I am the lead admin for the layer 1 - layer 3 network, my days are spent planning, maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting, monitoring, and automating the network. My goal as an administrator is to ensure that my organization has a redundant network that is resilient against multiple concurrent failures, that is well documented so data flow and segmentation is well understood, designed for the future as to be ready for any new application that needs to run on top of it, and is automated so organization wide maintenance is measured in terms of seconds not minutes or hours, and creating a self-healing network where human intervention during a failure can be reduced by writing software that can diagnose and at times FIX a failure or trouble in the network.
